Long story short: Girl is out of college, life ahead of her, gets struck by car while crossing street, paralyzed from the neck down, confined to bed for rest of life, slowly grows to loath herself and everyone around her, jealous hateful, miserable. 40 or so years later this inner misery is overwhelming, she never learned to cope and there is nothing, NOTHING she can do about it. At this point when she is at her worst and on the brink of insanity she finds herself falling through the sky, young again, complete befuddlement ensues...
